Kari Wuhrer was born on the 28th of April, 1967. She is an American musician and actor. Her career began when she was an teen and is most well famous for her character of Maggie Beckett in the television show Sliders as well as her role as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, a police officer and auto salesman. Her father was the eldest of her three siblings. As a teenager, she sang in nightclubs in the night, as well as sneaking out of her family home to perform. From the Wooster School at the age of thirteen and began to study drama.
