Harry Edward Styles - also known as Harry Styles - is a British musician and composer. Harry Styles has been acknowledged as the composer in The One Direction band. He is the child of Des Styles (father) and Anne Cox, Harry Styles was born on January 1, 1994, in Holmes Chapel. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, where he created his own group of musicians with 3 schoolmates, which was named White Eskimo. They took home the Battle of Bands in 2009, thanks to their outstanding performances. Although he has always shown interest in music he also wanted to be a lawyer or an physiotherapist. For a while he worked for a short time in a bakeshop in his city with the aim of helping people financially in the home. Harry Styles was selected for The X Factor 2010 audition during which he performed the Stevie Wonder's track Is not She Lovely. For that reason his band were forced to split. Nicole Scherzinger, the jury member of The X Factor suggested Harry Styles join a band called One Direction with Liam Payne Zayn Mlik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne. Simon Cowell sponsored this five-person group, and they founded in the year 2010. The group performed the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky Without You as well as Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart in the competition, which helped them become one of the top contenders for winning the competition. However, they finished third, a place behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles was not the winner, but Cowell had paid 2,000,000 pounds as part of a deal for One Direction.
